The Governor of Massachusetts issued a challenge to design and construction professionals to help the state and private sector construct buildings that are greener than ever before and make Zero Net Energy buildings the construction industry standard by 2030.

With that, ADI is completing  a Zero Net Energy study for the Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School building that includes an integrated design for renewable energy options and an energy-efficient school building.

ADI also conducted an energy audit to the building in order to identify cost-effective energy conservation measures (ECMs) that would qualify for funding under DOER’s Energy Conservation Improvement Program (ECIP).

Based on the School’s energy usage, ADI’s determined that the building already used less fuel and electricity than most other buildings of its type in Massachusetts.   ADI is developing Biomass and Solar Thermal Feasibility studies for this facility to reduce its carbon footprint.  The facility is looking at Wind Energy, solar PV to off-set the remaining energy usage.
